Robot vs Dinosaur turned out to be a brilliant night! Arc Vel performed a crisp set of chilled beats and Portmanteau massaged the audience into some serious head nodding and body twitching with their blend of groove heavy glitch electronica. The djs played some crowd pleasing tunes also - I witnessed the barman moving around a bit to Squarepusher - Red Hot Car. So all in all a way top night in a perfectly formed space. Looking forward to the next one.

Just been up to a bit of surfing and looking at the lovely www.robotvsdinosaur.co.uk blog. I thought I would shamelessly steal one of their posts and in return plug the night again (hope it is a fair trade).

Well anyways have a look and listen at this fab Rubiks Cube style video from Bristol’s Portmanteau and come on over to the Island bar tomorrow night to catch them live.

Long time friend of Klunk - Hurra Caine Landcrash (aka Dan Hopkins) is playing live in at the Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham. This is to coincide with the release of the fourth HL recording ”Unanswered Questions” on the newish Birmingham label http://www.splitfemurrecordings.com/ . The gig promises some experimental sound scapes captured within a shoe gaze world. I expect the visuals will amaze also!
