Have a look at this Create Digital Music post about using Ableton Live as a performance instrument.
I am particularly interested in how others do their live sets and have always intended to write up how I do mine (one to watch for the future). The comments section of this post are a great starting point for any wannabe laptop jockey.

Robot vs Dinosaur turned out to be a brilliant night! Arc Vel performed a crisp set of chilled beats and Portmanteau massaged the audience into some serious head nodding and body twitching with their blend of groove heavy glitch electronica. The djs played some crowd pleasing tunes also – I witnessed the barman moving around a bit to Squarepusher – Red Hot Car. So all in all a way top night in a perfectly formed space. Looking forward to the next one.

Just been up to a bit of surfing and looking at the lovely www.robotvsdinosaur.co.uk blog. I thought I would shamelessly steal one of their posts and in return plug the night again (hope it is a fair trade).
Well anyways have a look and listen at this fab Rubiks Cube style video from Bristol’s Portmanteau and come on over to the Island bar tomorrow night to catch them live.
