Vince Clake Studio For Sale

December 18th, 2007

Vince Clarke (from pop band Erasure) is relocating his studio and selling 160 items through ebay. To be fair I am not that much of an Erasure fan, however if you are AND you are into music technology then you should definitely check out this ebay auction page.

Cubase 4.1 Sidechain Compression Tutorial

December 17th, 2007

I have put together a quick and simple tutorial for the all new sidechain compression feature of Cubase 4.1 and Cubase Studio 4.1. This is only a couple of minutes long being as Steinberg have done a wonderful job of making it easy to use. This is my first video tutorial, so any comments about how it could be improved would be greatly recieved.

If you do not already have the latest you can buy a copy of Cubase Studio for £249.00 from Dolphin Music

Oh by the way some folk call this techinque ducking, being as the sound appears to duck under the other…(top tip)

Otto Von Schirach is NOT playing at the Custard Factory.

December 11th, 2007

I am a little dissapointed to find out that Otto Von Schirach are no longer supporting Qui at the Custard Factory on the 13th Dec. I really enjoy the heavy beats produced by OVS and was certainly looking forward to an intense performance. Anyway for those wishing to console themselves without being able to catch them can grab the excellent album “Maxipad Detention” released last year by clicking on the itunes logo below:

Funding for Klunk.org

December 10th, 2007

So far I have funded klunk.org solely from my own pocket. However I have now decided to include some in line sponsors / affiliates to help pay for the hosting costs and other little expenses necessary to keep things going. I am hoping to make these links as transparent as possible and the these will be only to goods or services which I use myself and therefore can recommend.

If you have an opinion on this, then please let me know if I get the balance wrong (or indeed right).
